Theory of inventive problem solving
TRIZ, or the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving, is a concept developed in the 1950s in the former USSR by the Russian patent officer Genrikh Saulovich Altshuller. The method aims to systematically analyze technical problems, find innovative solutions, and resolve technical and physical contradictions.
For this purpose, experience and knowledge from successful innovations were drawn upon, from which 40 innovation principles were derived. These principles, along with other methodological tools, form the core of the concept. These and other tools serve to analyze and abstract the problem, develop ideas, implement them, and, in a final step, evaluate them.
Comprehensive presentation of the TRIZ method
Benefit from the versatility of TRIZ PowerPoint templates, which offer a wealth of information. This information is integrated into the presentation using a wide range of graphical tools. With the help of various tools such as pyramids, radial clusters, matrices, tables, lists, mind maps, graphs, and cycles—often linked to Excel spreadsheets and therefore customizable—you can inform your audience about all TRIZ-related factors.
The templates initially provide you with overviews of theoretical basics (including the application area of the method, user types, levels of invention, procedure), which you can use to convey basic ideas of the concept to your audience in a first step.
Building on this, an overview of the TRIZ hierarchy, tools and their interactions, application possibilities, etc., is provided, after which all classic tools (including resources, system elements, nine-field model, contradictions, 40 innovation guarantors, material-field model, S-curve, dwarf model) are presented and explained in detail.
Furthermore, the template also includes slides on the ARIZ method, the latest version verified by Altschuller, and its explanation. Alongside the presentation of the classic tools, the new ones are also introduced. These slides, also presented in the form of graphically appropriate tools such as hierarchy lists and tables, contain information on the topics of innovation checklists, problem formulation, functional analysis, trimming, and anticipatory failure detection.
