What is Category Management?

Category management is a business management concept in which manufacturers and retailers work closely together to manage goods as strategic business units. Instead of focusing solely on individual products, category management considers a category of related products as a whole, taking into account customer needs, market trends, and competitors. It aims to optimize the product range, shelf placement, pricing, and marketing strategies within a category to increase customer satisfaction and maximize profitability.
