Your trade fair appearance should be well-planned and ideally prepared. What distinguishes your company and your products? How can your business concept be communicated in the best possible way? We'll show you how to perfectly prepare for your next trade fair appearance.
Developing an ideal PowerPoint presentation should be an essential part of your trade fair preparations. Remember: If you run a presentation on a monitor at your booth, it will be the first visual point of reference for many potential customers. Therefore, you should leave as little as possible to chance during the preparation phase.
Optimize the presentation for the available display devices.

Before the trade fair, find out which display devices will be available to you. Are the monitors positioned vertically or horizontally? What resolution do they offer? An unusual monitor position (e.g., diagonally) can provide an extra boost to draw attention to your presentation. In most cases, your presentation will likely be displayed on a 16:9 screen, so you should optimize for this format during the preparation phase.
Bring backups and spare cables.
Even if you trust your laptop, save the presentation to cloud storage and a USB drive as well, so you can revert to it if necessary. Luggage can get lost, electronic devices can fail – you shouldn't be caught off guard by this.
It's always advisable to bring extra monitor cables (VGA, DisplayPort, HDMI), ideally in different lengths. Even if everything is provided on site, your carefully prepared presentation shouldn't fail due to a missing or faulty cable.
Various options for possible playback devices
Especially if you're unsure which playback devices will be available for your presentation, you should prepare different versions. For example, it's a good idea to create an additional version without complex animations so that it runs smoothly even on less powerful devices. It's also advisable to include the presentation as a standalone video in case PowerPoint can't be used for any reason.
