Arrange and distribute multiple objects in PowerPoint

|Tom Schweitzer

A good PowerPoint presentation isn't just about a cohesive design and a suitable layout. The way text and objects are placed on a slide also significantly impacts the success of your presentation. Are you less of a fan of lengthy explanations and prefer to emphasize your points with visuals? Then you're already on the right track. However, always pay close attention to the appealing formatting of objects (graphics, charts, text boxes, and shapes). Leave nothing to chance, especially when you want to clearly present multiple objects on a single slide. A well-structured arrangement will visually impress your audience and allow you to shine with a thoughtful and organized presentation.

In this tutorial, we will show you how to quickly and easily distribute multiple objects on a PowerPoint slide.

Arrange multiple objects on one slide

Here's how it works

To position various objects such as shapes, text boxes, diagrams, or graphics at even intervals on a PowerPoint slide, you can use the Arrange function:

  1. Select all the desired objects on the slide. To do this, drag the left mouse button across your selection.

4. Choose one of the different alignment options, e.g., distribute vertically.

Important: To align the selected objects to the entire slide, the "Align to slide" checkbox must also be selected.

Your initially selected objects are now arranged linearly and follow a standardized format. You no longer need to arrange objects manually, saving you a lot of time.
