You may already know that information and facts are easier to convey when emotions are involved. No one enjoys listening to monotonous monologues or information that is simply rattled off.
Think about the following points and consider:
❌ What is your product or service?
❌ What does your product do or achieve?
✅ How does the product make you feel?
While the first two points may be important, they can be answered in one or two words without much thought. The third question, however, requires your audience to reflect and think critically. Only then can you create a connection between your product and your viewers' emotions.
Consider, for example, a customer testimonial. In a compelling testimonial, potential customers read about people who had the same problem as themselves.
In this case, viewers see that someone else is experiencing the same frustrations. The testimonial shows that there are other people struggling with the same problem. Both viewers and the person in the testimonial go through the same process in their search for a solution.
Storytelling instead of testimonials: Evoking emotions
If you don't have a testimonial available, you can alternatively ask potential customers to imagine themselves in a specific situation. This allows you to describe a situation to them to show how your product or service will improve their situation.
Using images in your presentation can be helpful. They can help to suggest a particular story and thus make it easier for the audience to imagine themselves in different situations.
At the end of your story comes the magical moment when your audience sees how your product or service solved the protagonist's problem.

Mirror neurons - Feel your success!

When you, as a presenter, see how your product or service makes your audience's work easier, you yourself feel the emotions you see!
This phenomenon is related to so-called mirror neurons . This means that simply observing emotions activates certain nerve cells. These then ensure that you, as the storyteller, also feel the relief and joy of the audience.
Create a connection with your audience through storytelling and emotions!
