Availability of data for the presentation:
- Have you saved the presentation on more than one storage device for safety, which you will bring with you to the presentation?
- Do you need internet access/Wi-Fi?
- Do you need index cards?
- Is the presentation room/hall equipped with the necessary technology, or what technology do you need to bring yourself?
- Do you have alternative presentation aids available?
- Do you need handouts?
Check media availability and accessibility of the premises:
- What media devices are available and which ones need to be brought along?
- Are there any devices in the room that need to be reserved?
- Who is the contact person for media usage?
- Do attendees need Wi-Fi or network access to actively participate in the presentation? Access rights should be clarified in advance.
Providing presentation content to third parties:
- Will you provide the presentation as a PowerPoint or PDF file?
- Should the entire presentation or only parts of it be published?
- Can only the participants themselves access the content, or do you post it on the (company) intranet or even on the internet?
- Is there an email address list of the participants?
- Is a printed handout more useful (than a digital file)?
Introducing oneself to the audience:
- Do you need to introduce yourself, or will a moderator do this?
- Is a detailed introduction of yourself necessary in light of the presentation topic?
- How much time do you have for that?
- Has the performance been arranged with the host?
- How can a successful transition to the actual presentation be designed?
The company's presentation:
- Which company data may be disclosed externally?
- What kind of impression does the company want to leave?
- Should the presentation be sales-oriented or not?
- Have any other documents relating to yourself or the company readily available (also on the PowerPoint template).
