Value Chain Analysis PowerPoint Presentation
The value chain analysis systematically examines all activities, processes and steps carried out in the company according to their mutual dependencies. The comparison with value chains from competitors shows opportunities and competitive advantages in the business areas. All activities offer starting points for creating cost advantages (cost leader strategy) or differentiation advantages (differentiation strategy).
In the value chain analysis, all functions or activities involved are examined with regard to their value contribution to the creation of the finished product. The aim is to differentiate between value-adding and non-value-adding activities and then to derive appropriate measures that reduce the possible waste of the available resources and thus optimize the cost structure of the product with a view to competitiveness.
