Navigating during the presentation? Here's how!

|Tom Schweitzer
If you're in the middle of your presentation and want to jump to a specific slide, there's no need to scroll through all the slides. Instead, simply use one of the following two shortcuts in presentation mode:
Tip 1
To jump to a specific slide number, press the number and then Enter during the slide presentation. For example, to jump to slide number 24 , simply press "2" , then "4" , and then "Enter" .

This keyboard shortcut is particularly useful for smaller presentations where you can remember the individual numbers of the respective slides.

Tip 2
To view a thumbnail of all slides, press the "G" key during the presentation and then select a slide. Clicking on a slide will then display it in full screen, allowing you to jump to that specific slide. This lets you navigate interactively through your presentation without ending it.
Note: Please be aware that this technique only works with PowerPoint 2013 and later. One drawback is that your audience will then also see the other slides in your presentation (at least in preview), which can somewhat diminish the element of surprise.
